Ghost boot/recovery CD

Hello  -- I am trying to restore an old windows 98 system. It was backed up by ghost (version 9).

I created an empty VM  noting that is is a win98  system.  When the  VM started, it found the Ghost CD, but never started up  it just

said waiting on the virtual console.

Is there some bios setting I need to set to have the cd start up? As I recall I think that the ghost cd is a bases on DOS
