Okay. You might want to check out my reply to your other thread (the one about system VLANs on the 1000V). Also, it might be worth mentioning that the 5.1 VDS can automatically roll back configuration changes if an invalid change is made to the networking configuration. Just to clarify, vCenter does NOT have to be up for ESXi hosts to reconnect vmk interfaces or vNICs after a site power failure, etc. on a normal VDS. The VDS is pretty bullet-proof even during emergencies, and the 1000V can come pretty close, with the proper configuration.
